I’ve got a new Abit NF7 nforce2 chipset based mobo wich supports agp from 2x to 8x, and a damned hercules 3d prophet Mb kyro 2 based graphic card too! Kyro II Have not been able to resolve this yet. The card is AGP, and when I installed it the motherboard didn’t recongnize it, so I had to do it manually, but it keeps saying the device cannot start.

And I just think the kyro 2 I have maybe all Nvidua 3d prophet ? I found in bios the agp speed setting and set it up mannually to 2x. At first I thought it was a duff Nvidia nforce2 agp host to pci bridge install but further investigation has pointed to a hardware conflict.
Has someone had any success with this? Sorry no solutions but I just hit upon the same problem with a NF7-Sv2.

Or change your operating system go back on win98se Kyro II Have not been able to resolve this yet. I reinstalled the NForce drivers but the conflict would not go away no matter what I do. Linux and Windows – No Boot.

But honestly, I htink that they just aren’t going to be compatible, and I don’t know how hot nVidia is nvidia nforce2 agp host to pci bridge to be to fix an issue with a two year old competitors card.
Hercules 3d xt supports only agp 2x ,windows Xp will not allow to start graphic interface to old video cards. Seeing as how between the three instances that I now know of, the issue lies with two different motherboards and nvidia nforce2 agp host to pci bridge K II based cards, it’s a chipset problem.
I have a different card on order and ;ci confirm if this clears up the problem. Hi i had this agp to pci conflict.

I’m checking nVidia’s site from here, and doing another search, will stop gap if I can find anything else. Please register or login. The card is AGP, and when I installed it the motherboard didn’t recongnize it, so I had to do it manually, but it keeps saying the device cannot start.
When I remove the offending device the bridge and refresh device manager the card is detected but driver install fails with a message about ‘missing section in inf file’.
I checked this site and the information is brilliant but the card is listed as AGP4 according to this site – http: Its been running fine then I accidentally removed the NForce drivers.
Have tried a fresh install of windows 2k then installing the latest nvidia nforce2 agp host to pci bridge drivers before using the Nforce II drivers, but it still shows an error on the standard PCI-AGP ndorce2.
